Description: This e-learning course has been developed for General Practitioners and non-medical prescribers. The package provides users with essential knowledge in prescribing psychotropic drugs to people experiencing non-cognitive symptoms of dementia. It also examines clinical trials and the identification and management of delirium.

Recovery Focused Practice in Older People’s Services

Description: This e-learning course is for health and social care professionals and care support staff. Dementia Awareness

Description: This introductory elearning course on Dementia Awareness has been developed for Clinical Support Workers (CSWs). The programme aims to help increase your overall understanding of dementia and how it affects the patients, families and carers you work with.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe dementia and its common signs and symptoms
  • Identify the risk factors likely to increase dementia occurring
  • Understand how dementia is diagnosed
  • Challenge some of the enagative views on dementia that exist
